Savannah Guthrie was born on December 27, 1971 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, which makes her nationality originally Australian. Guthrie’s father was stationed in Australia and so they lived there. However, her father was transferred back and she returned to the United States, Arizona. Similarly, she Savannah went to Amphitheater High School in Tucson. After graduating from high school, she received a journalism degree from the University of Arizona. Ultimately, she also received a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.

After graduation, Savannah went to work in broadcasting at KMIZ, an ABC affiliate, then worked at KVOA. She later moved to Washington DC to work at WRC-TV covering some big stories like the 9/11 attacks and the 2001 anthrax attacks. She also worked at the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, as a litigation associate. In 2007, she joined NBC News as a correspondent and later also contributed as a White House correspondent. She eventually replaced Meredith Vieira and Ann Curry on the “Today” show. She later managed to become the co-host of the show. Since then, she has covered some of the biggest interviews with high-profile personalities on important issues.

Savannah Guthrie was covering the Michael Jackson trial when she met BBC news presenter Mark Orchard. Mark was previously married to her journalist wife, but he divorced her. In 2005 he married Savannah in a private ceremony. However, the marriage only lasted four years, after which she began dating communications consultant Michael Feldman.
